Unplug. Unwind. Recharge.
Unplug from the world? This is generally unheard of these days…
With the hectic schedules of life… social media… and work, the idea of unplugging seems not only scary but unrealistic. A couple weeks ago I made the conscious effort to do just this: Unplug. Unwind. Recharge.
I am very fortunate to have such a considerate husband. He was totally onboard with handling the kids while I recharged on my own. After discussing the details and logistics, realizing this didn’t have to be just a dream but a reality, I hopped online and booked a flight to a dream destination of mine: Vancouver, Canada!
I was there a total of 4 days and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve experienced. I loved exploring the city as well as the natural wildlife… and did I mention the fall foliage?! It was stunning! Vibrant and crisp.
I enjoyed local pubs, nature, tried new food, enjoyed some adult beverages and did a ton of sightseeing. It’s smog-free and named the greenest city in the world. Not just green from the trees but eco-friendly. This was pretty great to see… paper straws everywhere!
I also found it to be a great place if you wanted to do a romantic couple’s trip or a family vacation. That’s how dynamic Vancouver truly is.
And don’t forget the maple syrup, eh!
